In one sentence, tell us about your idea.

I have an idea for hotels going paperless. By using paperless check-in, paperless e-sign, and paperless payments we decrease numbers of paperwork.

My ideal collaborative partner or partners would be hotels around the world. I am looking for hotels, especially 5- star hotels which use paperless services. I am interested to know hotels company or hotel managers would like to support this idea?

In regards to finding the right collaborator, what is the most immediate or most pressing challenge you're facing right now?

Before all else, all hotel companies must agree with using paperless services and it would be complicated and taking too much time. Furthermore, this idea require high cost, paperless may be expensive and some hotels do not have enough budget for having this services.

BONUS QUESTION: What is it about your idea that makes you feel good?

In my opinion, the most significant feature of using paperless hotels would be saving trees. According to Hotel ICON website, by going paperless the hotel, they saved 40 trees last year and it is wonderful. Paperless hotels help to minimize energy-consuming, climate change emissions and reduce air pollution.

What makes your idea innovative? Why has no one ever done it before?

According my research, however there are a few hotels around the world which using paperless check-in, electronic signature and paperless payment, I would like to expand the idea. By using tablet for check-in and e-sign, we learn new technologies and speed up the process. We do not need to have a space for keeping files.

Who will benefit the most from your idea?

This idea is beneficial for hotels, guest of hotels, environment, Electronic-Tablet Manufacturers, and portable payments terminal. From my point of view, these three categories have equal advantages.

If we support the idea, it would be easy to use, they check their bills from smart phone, they feel independent of using such these technologies, they can access to bill anywhere and anytime. Paperless hotels are also good for planet. By preventing cut amounts of the trees, we eliminate million tons of greenhouse gas production. Additionally, it has cost-effective. Take a hotel as an example, how much money they spend for paperwork. By alternate paperless services we reduce cost.
