+ What is it about your idea that makes you feel good?
everything confirms that they are on the right path: design, technology, eco-sustainability etc. you just have to start, and to do this it is important to have the right team. My ideal team is made up of people with a lot of enthusiasm and heterogeneous skills: from real estate, to technology (blockchain for example), finance, etc.
I am a tour operator with over ten years of experience in the industry. I would like to leverage the Covid-19 crisis to realize a long sought-after dream of mine. In particular, I would need your help to design a new tourist accommodation concept, set in a privileged location in Italy's north-west region with amazing views of a strikingly beautiful landscape. This secluded spot can be easily reached from all over the world thanks to the proximity of Milan Malpensa international airport. Magical places, surrounded by vineyards that provide the raw material for the production of excellent wines, among which we may highlight Barolo and Barbaresco, and from where you can easily reach Turin, Milan, Genoa, Switzerland, France and the French Riviera. In essence, the idea involves combining design and technology to restore old properties by implementing an advanced concept of widespread hospitality. This will provide innovative answers to high-end customers' needs while offering them a unique experience.
With your help, I envision the following five steps to achieve this goal:
- Conducting a collective brainstorming exercise with tourism professionals such as yourself, to understand the most salient needs of your high-end customers as regards hospitality and related services.
- Launching an idea-generation contest on a specialized platform, aimed at the international designer community, to collect the ideas (projects) that best meet the needs highlighted during the activity above.
- Reviewing and evaluating all works presented and choose one or more winners.
- Executing the winning projects
As you can see, I am only looking for your contributions in terms of ideas and suggestions, stemming from your knowledge of the customer, without any direct involvement in the initiative, except as a preferential and/or exclusive commercial channel, once the product is ready. I am not looking for any financial contribution from you. However, if you would like to discuss a different level of involvement in the initiative, for example, as a member of our team or otherwise, the doors are open. In collaborative partners, we want to work with local hospitality partners, NGOs, college and universities, tourism boards, and humans around the world who’ve been moved, touched, and inspired by travel. We want to rethink architecture, with the contribution of everyone, creating buildings that make those who live in them feel good, those who look at them, integrating with the landscape, making it even more beautiful.
We want to involve the whole local community, transforming the village into a smart village, which offers services to all residents, new and old, temporary and permanent: energy community, smart mobility, high-speed connection, etc.
