To secure a contract with a qualified firm for public relations representation for Visit Williamsburg.
Primary Objective:
Increase overnight visitation to Williamsburg, Virginia (Historic Triangle).
Goals include:
Increasing overnight visitation
Enhancing destination awareness and impressions
Establishing Williamsburg as a premier U.S. travel destination
Increasing tax revenue
Unifying the region under the Destination Marketing Organization's (DMO) tourism brand and strategy
Improving reporting, analytics, and data-driven optimization of marketing efforts
Bolstering international marketing efforts
Responsibilities of the Selected Vendor:
Provide and execute against strategic creative direction
Ensure successful leveraging and conveying of Visit Williamsburg's brand across all programs and channels
Engage in creative planning and execute against the strategic plan to increase destination occupancy
Vendor Requirements:
Proven ability to achieve business goals with impactful, measurable, creative work
Understanding of working with a highly visible DMO focused on improving the region's economic vitality.
DMO Background:
Williamsburg Tourism Council's focus on marketing and promoting overnight visitation in the Historic Triangle area.
Funding allocated from sales tax and transient occupancy tax for marketing, sales, public relations, advertising, and promoting the area.
Destination Overview:
Williamsburg region includes Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown, offering a blend of contemporary and historical experiences.
