JUNE 13 DEADLINE - NDC Partnership In-Country Facilitator for Belize

The NDC Partnership seeks an In-Country Facilitator in Belize to support the implementation of the country's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) as part of its commitment to the Paris Agreement and sustainable development.

  • Objective: Coordinate and mobilize resources to develop and implement Belize's NDC Implementation Plan.

  • Project Duration: 9 months starting July 15, 2024, with potential extension based on performance.

  • Work Location: National Climate Change Office (NCCO), Belmopan, Belize.

  • Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and provide technical support for NDC development and updating.

    • Mainstream gender and youth in climate actions.

    • Foster local government engagement in climate actions.

    • Secure technical assistance and mobilize resources.

    • Track and report on NDC Implementation Plan progress.

    • Facilitate internal and external stakeholder coordination.

    • Support capacity development for climate finance access.

    • Organize platforms for stakeholder engagement and annual reflection exercises.
