+ In one sentence, tell us about your idea.

EduTrip is a smart platform that helps universities organize educational and touristic trips easily and efficiently.

+ Describe your ideal collaborative partner or partners.

My ideal collaborative partners would be universities, educational tour agencies, local cultural institutions, and certified tour guides who are committed to enriching student learning through travel.

+ What is the most immediate or most pressing challenge you're facing right now?

The most immediate challenge we are facing is connecting with reliable educational tour agencies and local guides who can offer high-quality, academically relevant experiences that match the diverse needs of university students.

+ What is it about your idea that makes you feel good?

What makes us feel good about EduTrip is that it empowers students to learn beyond the classroom, discover new cultures, and experience real-world education in an easy, organized, and enjoyable way, making travel both meaningful and memorable.

+ What makes your idea innovative? Why has no one ever done it before?

EduTrip is innovative because it uniquely combines education and tourism in one AI-powered platform tailored for universities—something no existing solution offers. While other apps focus only on leisure travel or logistical planning, EduTrip integrates curriculum-aligned itineraries, collaborative trip-planning tools, and partnerships with overlooked educational sites (e.g., local labs, heritage villages) into a single ecosystem. Its novelty lies in bridging the gap between academic needs and immersive tourism while supporting small communities, all powered by smart features like real-time alerts and interactive maps—making it the first platform designed specifically for educational group travel.

+ Who will benefit the most from your idea?

Universities and students will benefit most from EduTrip, as it streamlines educational trip planning while enhancing learning experiences. Student affairs departments save time with integrated tools for logistics, budgets, and coordination, while students gain access to curated, curriculum-aligned trips that blend academics with cultural immersion. Local educational sites and small businesses also benefit through increased visibility and partnerships, creating a win-win ecosystem that prioritizes meaningful travel over generic tourism.

+ At Sigmund, we are interested in ideas at the intersection of People, Planet, and Profit. How does your idea support these three categories?

People: Empowering students with enriched, interactive learning experiences and reducing administrative burdens for universities, while creating opportunities for local guides and communities.
Planet: Promoting sustainable tourism by spotlighting lesser-known local sites, reducing over-tourism, and encouraging eco-friendly travel practices through optimized itineraries.
Profit: Generating revenue for small businesses, educational sites, and tour operators while offering universities a cost-effective platform to streamline trip planning and logistics.
