The Tourism Industry Association of Alberta (TIAA) is launching a Request for Proposal (RFP) titled "Aligning Purpose, Profit, and Sustainability to Compensation Culture in Tourism" to transform Alberta's tourism sector.
TIAA seeks a vendor experienced in job evaluation, compensation studies, economic modeling, and strategic management advisory services to conduct a comprehensive study and develop a training program.
The initiative aims to align compensation culture with profit, labor force development, and sustainability, as part of the synthesis of deliverables from the Labour Market Study of Alberta’s Tourism Sector.
The research outcomes will be disseminated within Alberta’s tourism and hospitality sector, with additional support provided to businesses seeking assistance in evaluating and enhancing HR compensation systems.
Indigenous tourism stakeholders' involvement and integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles are emphasized for an inclusive and equitable tourism industry.
Scope includes in-depth analyses, global best practices review, stakeholder engagement, culminating in a comprehensive report, online educational portal, and pilot training program.
The project is funded through a Labour Market Development Agreement, in partnership with the Government of Canada and the Province of Alberta.
